Annual Payment Update (APU) Recipients

Inpatient Psychiatric Facility Quality Reporting (IPFQR) Program

Facilities eligible for the Inpatient Psychiatric Facility Quality Reporting Program are included annually in one of three lists:

  • IPFs receiving full APU – satisfactorily met the requirements for the IPFQR Program. These facilities will receive the full annual update to the standard federal rate.
  • IPFs not receiving full APU – did not satisfactorily meet the criteria for the IPFQR Program. These facilities will receive their annual update to the standard federal rate with a 2.0 percentage point reduction.
  • IPFs that chose not to participate – actively chose not to participate and will receive their annual update to the standard federal rate with a 2.0 percentage point reduction.
